  • Replacing your original miter gauge with a premium model is like upgrading from a bicycle to a luxury car: The difference will amaze you! A basic miter gauge serves its limited purpose, but it can only be counted on for accuracy at its three stops, and it lacks a fence. SawStop’s new premium Revolution and Scale Miter Gauges deliver precision from 1° increments to as fine as 1/10° with can’t-miss locked-in settings for all the angles you’ll ever need to cut. Each comes with a deluxe reversible aluminum fence, multifunction flip stop, and adjustable miter bar

Engineered to bring precision to any table saw, the Scale Miter Gauge (TSA-SMG, $249) features 181 precise angle settings. An adjustable miter bar, extendable fence, and micro-adjustable flip stop will take your woodworking to a whole new level of accuracy.

    • he precision protractor head features a pointer and 90 notches in 1° increments each side of 0°, including one for 22.5° on each side. In addition, the built-in Vernier scale gives you the ability to fine-tune any angle in 1/10° increments.
    • An 18”-long miter bar, made to fit in common 3/8” x 3/4” miter slots, uses six adjustable washers to eliminate side-to-side wiggle in the miter slot while ensuring a smooth glide forward and back. A screw-on T-clip at the front of the bar holds the bar level in the miter slot when you pull the head off the table.
    • The aluminum fence provides a larger reference for holding workpieces accurately (compared to the head alone), with a telescoping extension that reaches up to 31-1/2” (34” with the flip stop). A T-slot in the front face provides a place to attach auxiliary wood fences with T-bolts. The scale on top of the fence can be calibrated to enable making precise crosscuts without having to measure and mark your boards.
    • Use the flip stop to make repeated cuts at the same setting for identical project parts. The flip stop indexes on the fence with a tooth-and-notch system that lets you position it in 1/32” increments. The flip stop’s dual arms can be set independently at different lengths from the blade or linked together with a rod, all of which can be fine-tuned with a built-in micro-adjuster.
